Hello everybody and welcome to the 11th incarnation of my personal web space. Just like life itself, this site evolves to embrace change and new advances in IT. It started in 1998 with an early version of MS FrontPage and some basic HTML. After several full Drupal CMS versions it goes back where it started; simple HTML and CSS. However, the template is based on the Bootstrap Framework.
So who is KT? He was born in Greece at the height of the military junta and he remains a human rights proponent ever since. At the age of 19, he decided that the Hellenic boundaries could not contain his curiosity and thirst for knowledge. He went to the UK and got a First Class degree in astrophysics and a PhD in space sciences.
After all that, it was time to get a real job, well sort of, so he became a research associate at Cambridge University playing with materials at high stresses. What fun that was! However, even the entire European continent was not enough. It was time for another change.
Thus, during a cold autumn day of 2006, he crossed The Pond to keep people warm during cold nights. A new continent and the second largest country in the world are now his playing field. Welcome to the New World. I guess that makes me a citizen of the world after all!
These days, I have a new job and a house. In general, I am enjoying life in Ottawa and I picked up on a new hobby: Photography. After a few interesting and self-exploratory years, I finally start to accept what Fernando Pessoa wrote (and kindly translated by S):
Of all, three things remain: The certainty that we are always starting, the certainty that we have to continue, the certainty that we shall be interrupted before finishing. So, we should: make of the interruption a new path, of the fall a dance move, of the fear a ladder, of the dream a bridge, of the search an encounter...
In any case, feel free to get in touch with me for whatever reason. If you have comments on my photos or web sites, have an amazing job offer or just want to say hi, drop me a line or two. I am always happy to hear from old friends, colleagues or new and interesting people. After all, it is the people that come and go in our lives, friends or foes, the ones who help us and the ones who hurt us, familiar or strangers that make this journey so interesting.
